FishOMania – Tunnel Barn Farm 2 – 14th May 2022
FishOMania will head to Westwood Lakes, Boston, Lincolnshire on Saturday, July 23.
The annual £50,000 match has become a huge part of the angling season and English summer and will feature 25 of the best anglers for the first time battling it out for the title, including defending champion Harry Bignell who won by the biggest ever margin in history in 2021.
The 25th spot at FishOMania will be taken up by the individual winner of the 2022 Angling Trust Junior & Youth National, based on highest overall weight. They will be joined by 22 qualifiers, Bignell and the Women’s National champion making this the biggest ever field in FishOMania history. An Angling Trust Spokesperson said “This qualification process gives younger anglers in the Junior/Youth National the amazing opportunity to qualify directly for the FishOMania final – in our view, if they are good enough, they are old enough. This follows the same format as the Ladies National where the angler with the highest individual weight takes a spot in the FishOMania Final.”
The qualifying spot on offer for the winner of the Junior & Youth National will replace NXTGen for 2022.
Qualifiers will begin on Saturday 26th March at Weston Pools Fishery and conclude Wednesday 13th July Hayfield Lakes. Open to Angling Trust members only.
Anglers must be aged 16+ on the date of their chosen qualifier.
Please ensure that your membership is valid and up to date at the time of applying and for your qualifier/s you are fishing and if you are successful to fish the grand final, otherwise the Angling Trust reserve the right to refuse entry to fish the event.

Wheelchair Accessible Venues: As per 2021, The Angling Trust have assessed a proportion of the most accessible fisheries for FishOMania 2022. A Wheelchair Accessible peg has a flat base and good access to the peg without steep slopes or potholes. However, the Angling Trust does insist that all Wheelchair Accessible ticket holders are required to have an assistant to accompany the angler whilst moving to and from their peg, and fishing is undertaken at the angler’s own risk. In addition, the Angling Trust would advise all anglers looking to purchase tickets at wheelchair accessible venues to visit the fishery prior to the match, to see the pegs that are available to them.
The wheelchair accessible venues for 2022 are: Heronbrook Fisheries, Partridge Lakes, Lindholme Lakes, The Oaks and Tunnel Barn Farm.
Please make it known to the organiser of the match or the AT Competitions Office if you require an accessible peg so that the appropriate adjustments can be made for you.
