Coarse Competitions
FishOMania
To every match angler the FishOMania competition is one of the biggest in match fishing. With qualifying rounds available. Competitors will try to add their name to the illustrious list of previous champions and scoop a cool £50,000 in the process.
Angling Trust National Championships
These are individual and team events and have been running very successfully for many years. These are open to affiliated clubs and individual members of the Angling Trust.
RiverFest
The UK's Number One River Competition: 25 qualifiers x 5 (80 peg), 18 (60 peg) & 2 (40 peg) competition open to all individual members of the Angling Trust. 78 places in the final. This carries the biggest ever individual river competition first prize of £14,000, plus more big main list and section cash prizes in the grand final.
SilverFish
Silverfish is exactly what it says on the tin, an individual Silverfish event where the top angler in every 15 peg zone qualifies through to the Grand Final with an estimated prize pot of over £8,000! Qualifiers take in both natural venues and commercial fisheries, spanning the north, midlands and south, meaning whatever style of angling you are into, and wherever you are based, there will be a qualifier for you.
Winter League
The Angling Trust took over the running of this prestigious event from the Angling Times in 2011. The Winter League is going from strength to strength. The leagues commence at the beginning of October on an annual basis and conclude at the end of December with a grand final in February the following year.
AT & CRT Canal Pairs Championship
Some of the Canal & River Trust’s regions will host a qualifying heat with some top pairs going through to the grand final.
Free Spirit Match Boddington Classic
This event has been revamped as the AT & CRT Boddington Classic. This will see the event held at Boddington Reservoir one of the Canal & River Trust top flight fisheries with five qualifiers being held. This will conclude with a grand final, with a significant guaranteed prize fund. This gives anglers an opportunity to participate in yet another high profile national event open to all individual members of the Angling Trust.
Angling Trust British Pike Championships
Qualifiers and Grand Final. The qualifiers have been up and running for over 30 years. The competition generates funds each year for the Angling Trust fighting fund. The Qualifiers are held from September through to March/April each year with a grand final being held late the following year (November time).
Angling Trust Masters Championships
This sees some of the top names in match angling take part to support Angling Trust and Fish Legal in raising funds. Teams are made up of 6 anglers from the tackle trade and each individual is an affiliated member of the Angling Trust.
Coarse Talent Pathway
The Angling Trust Talent Pathway spans all three disciplines and is aimed at developing young, talented anglers who will hopefully go on to represent England at International level.
