Easter Weekend 2022 activities for families and kids: Find ‘Spring into Fishing’ local family events near you

The Angling Trust is casting-off Covid with an invitation to ‘Spring into Fishing’ at local have-a-go events happening near to you this Easter Weekend and the months to come.

If you’re looking for things to do with the kids over Easter, our national Spring into Fishing campaign offers an egg-travaganza of 20 nationwide family friendly events packed into the bank holiday weekend.

With the daffodils out in full force and crisp sunshine on Met Office maps, the Easter weekend heralds a return to the outdoors for many. What’s more, fishing has many egg-cellent benefits; it’s peaceful, calm and engaging and offers quality time in nature. Find an event happening locally to you in your region by viewing our events.

Low-cost-no-cost

We’re all a little bit more aware of the purse strings due to the rising cost of living crisis, and we can promise that all our events will be either low cost or no cost. This is made possible thanks to the support of the Environment Agency’s fishing licence plus the the venues we work with and our partners – Angling Direct and Shakespeare.

This means you can be guaranteed a brilliant day out in our local area with engaging events that won’t the bank. You can test the waters because all these events have an Environment Agency fishing licence waiver (so you don’t need to have your own fishing licence at the event), and we even throw in expert coaches, bait and equipment to get you set-up and springing  on to make your first catch!

As we put the chilly winter months behind us, find a local Spring into Fishing event near you and enjoy the perfect opportunity to try something new or pick up an old hobby.

Get the kids back into nature together where wellbeing and peace and quiet time spent in blue-green spaces offers an opportunity to disconnect from daily life, and reconnect with creating fun family moments together.
