Coaching Course Administrator

Salary: £21,645 per annum
Hours: Part Time, 18.75 hours per week
Term: Fixed term – 2 years
Location: Ilkeston, with possibility of home working
Reports to: Coach Centre Manager

The Angling Trust are seeking an enthusiastic and hard-working individual to join the Angling Trust Coaching team. Reporting to the Coaching Centre Manager the successful candidate will be confident in communicating by both telephone and email in a public facing role.  Have excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

The role will involve coordinating the coach education programmes for Angling Support Coach and Lead Angling Coach by invoicing candidates, raising purchase orders, booking venues and tutors. It will also include processing application forms, managing data and uploading of data onto differing management platforms.

The role will involve working in collaboration with colleagues in the coaching centre, coach educators and participation team.

Environmental Projects Officer

Salary: £23,000 per annum
Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week
Term: Fixed term to March 31st, 2023
Location: Homeworker
Reports to: Environment Manager

The Angling Trust are seeking an enthusiastic and hard-working individual to join the Angling Trust Environment team. The role will involve helping to develop and lead on our new ‘Love Fishing Love Nature’ campaign which aims to identify opportunities that enhance the environment for fish and fishing but also provide wider benefits for nature. The individual will play a pivotal role in determining the direction of this campaign and establishing a new work area for the Angling Trust in identifying opportunities to provide biodiversity net-gain and simultaneously enhance the environment for fish and fishing.

Previous experience in fish and/or habitat enhancement projects would be an advantage. Ideally you will have a passion for angling and the outdoors.

This role will work to advance the environmental work within the Angling Trust, encouraging the angling community to adopt practices that enhance and protect angling and angling environments. A key part of this role is leading on the development of the Angling Trust’s ‘Love Fishing Love Nature’ initiative. This includes identifying opportunities that provide simultaneous angling and environment gains in freshwater and marine environments, developing best practice and encouraging the implementation by the angling community.

The officer will also support our other two campaigns ‘Anglers Against Litter’ and ‘Anglers Against Pollution’ encouraging the uptake of on-the-ground best practice by the freshwater and marine angling community. The officer will work alongside the Angling Trust Campaigns and Marketing Team to enhance the reach and impact of these campaigns and explore the opportunity for collaboration and funding with different partners.
