Let’s Go Family Fishing!

Dean Asplin Partnership Development Manager (South) for the Angling Trust, urges clubs and fisheries to make contact so that the Angling Trust can help fund events to introduce newcomers to fishing…

Everyone remembers the day they caught their first fish and the joy angling has brought to them since then.

At the Angling Trust we’re committed to ensuring that as many people as possible take that first step into angling and go on to become a lifelong angler too. Our “Let’s Go Family Fishing” project provides fun, social and safe angling days out for all ages.

We’ll provide free resources and training for clubs and fisheries to not only let families have a go at angling, but also find out about their local clubs and fisheries.

The “Get Fishing” campaign is run by the Angling Trust to increase the number of people being introduced to angling across the country. Anyone interested in going fishing can find angling events at Get Fishing. The events listed are for all participants regardless of gender, age, fitness or previous angling experience.

Angling Participation and the Get Fishing campaign is supported by Environment Agency fishing licence income and helps to introduce thousands of people to fishing each year.
