The Learn to Fish programme offers you the chance to try two different types of fishing. You can choose whether to try the graceful art of fly fishing or give multi bait fishing for trout a go. Available for both adults and young people, the courses are professionally run with friendly angling coaches taking you through each stage, teaching you everything you need to know to be able to have an enjoyable days fishing.

Olivia McArdle who attended one of the sessions in April 2017 had this to say: “I thoroughly enjoyed my experience fishing with Northumbrian Water because it was something new, different and really interesting. The staff were great and helped me along the way by teaching me everything to know about fishing. I met some new friends, which is good because I can go again and meet up with people who I’ve had fun with. Altogether I caught 4 fish and brought some home for tea.”
