The Perfect Gift – Take A Friend Fishing

The mellow, warm days of early autumn provide the perfect opportunity to give a friend the perfect gift – an introduction into angling that could well turn into a life-long passion. It really is the ideal time to introduce a family member, friend or neighbour to the sport, and it’s so easy…  just take them fishing with a free fishing licence.

The special promotion is part of the annual Take A Friend Fishing (TAFF) campaign, organised and run by the Angling Trades Association in partnership with the Environment Agency and supported by individual fishery venues as well as Angling Trust club and fishery members.

You can ‘Take your Friend Fishing for Free’ between midnight 15th September and midnight 30th September 2018, by downloading the voucher (each worth £6) here, filling in your contact details and validating it online at www.takeafriendfishing.co.uk, reading the Terms and Conditions, grabbing your fishing tackle and the voucher, and going fishing with your mate!

In addition to a FREE fishing licence, you can fish with a friend without charge at a variety of individual venues. Details of the fisheries that are taking part in this TAFF promotion are listed below and can also be found at www.takeafriendfishing.co.uk. Some exclusions may apply to each venue, so please check carefully.

It’s simple to get a fishing licence – just visit www.gov.uk/fishing-licences/buy-a-fishing-licence and buy a fishing licence for a whole year. Juniors aged 13-16 can get an annual licence free!

Take a Friend Fishing – Day Ticket Offers

To support the Take A Friend Fishing promotion between midnight Saturday 15th September to midnight Sunday 30th September 2018, a number of individual venues and Angling Trust fishery and club members have kindly put forward a selection of offers on their waters.

Whilst we have gathered as much information as possible, please check the information carefully for exclusions and make sure that you call the contact number to make them aware that you will be fishing at their venue. You should take your validated TAFF voucher with you as evidence that you are taking part in the TAFF event. The person accompanying you must hold a current rod licence and have it with them for inspection.
