NIGEL FRANKS APPOINTED AS MANAGER, ENGLAND FEEDER MASTERS TEAM

The Angling Trust is delighted to announce the appointment of Nigel Franks as Manager of the England Feeder Masters Team.
Nigel is a successful match angler and will captain the Sensas Devizes Team competing at the World Club Float Championships in Belgium, after winning last year’s Division 1 National. As well as competing nationally for many years, in team and individual events, he’s a regular on the Irish festival scene, competitor in the World Pairs and has qualified twice for the Preston Innovations Feeder Masters final. Nigel is retired from a successful career in the automotive industry, where part of his role entailed managing teams in overseas locations.
Nigel said: “I’m extremely proud and feel privileged to have been selected to this position and I fully appreciate that I will need to become familiar with international fishing and FIPSed style matches. Part of this will be gained by competing in the World Club Float Championships, as part of the Sensas Devizes Team in Belgium this summer, in addition to attending some of the currently planned FIPSed competitions and by enrolling key support members to the team. My main aim as manager will be to develop and facilitate a team that has the ability to compete successfully in Spain and future events.”
The inaugural FIPSed Feeder Masters will be held in Spain on the 24th / 25th September 2022, on the Guadiana River at Merida, in Extremadura. We will shortly be announcing the process for applications to attend assessments for team selection.
Please join us in congratulating Nigel on his appointment, and wishing him and the team the best of luck in this event.
