FIPSed 13th World Coarse Angling Championship for Veterans
8th & 9th October 2021, River Sava, Slovenia
Following the postponement of the event in 2020, England finally have the opportunity to head to Slovenia to compete for medals and defend their position as the number one ranked team in the world. England have won 14 medals in the previous 12 editions of the championship and will be looking to increase their medal haul in Slovenia.
Team: 3 Gold, 3 Silver, 2 Bronze
Individual: 4 Gold, 1 Silver, 1 Bronze
Dickie Carr will once again lead the team, ably supported by vice captain Alan Tunney. The team is packed with some of the best anglers in the world with 4 of the 5 anglers ranked inside the world top 30, Bob Nudd, Mark Downes, Steve Sanders and Roger Marlow, only Kevin Folwell sits outside that list however his 5th place finish in 2018 was his only appearance in the last 6 years and a good performance in Slovenia will see Kevin rise up the rankings.

My name is Kevin Folwell, I’ve been a member member of England Veterans team since 2016. I finished 5th in the 2018 World Championships in Croatia and I was Veterans National Champion in 2016.

Represented England in World Championships for 24 years and an Individual World Champion on four occasions 1990 Yugoslavia, 1991 Hungary, 1994 England and 1999 in Spain.
