Standing Up for Fish & Fishing
Your Angling Trust Campaigns team are actively collaborating with organisations across the UK on a variety of projects with the aim of improving the future for fish and the voice of recreational angling in Britain.
Missing Salmon Alliance
Launched in November 2019 and in collaboration with the Atlantic Salmon Trust and the Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust, the Missing Salmon Alliance aims to pinpoint the causes of the decline of our precious Atlantic salmon through the Likely Suspects Framework investigative initiative.
National Crucian Conservation Project
Launched in May 2014 at the Angling Trust Coarse Fish Conference, the National Conservation Project (NCCP) aims to promote the conservation of the species and its habitat whilst also encouraging the development of well-managed crucian fisheries.
Canoeing and Navigation
Many angling clubs and fishery owners have in recent years suffered a steady increase in unlawful canoeing throughout England and Wales which has often prevented them fishing in peace, and has affected the capital and amenity value of their fishing. There have been numerous incidents of aggressive behaviour in response to anglers asking canoeists to abide by the law.
